oofff...I'm going to be sitting with this one for a while. After actually making it through all three steps and moving myself to Europe I'm now realizing I'm having to go through the cycle all over again! It's both daunting and delightful. But I appreciate the emphasis on step 2 - looking back that is what pushed me to make it happen. Back to imagining the new possibilities...

I love the idea I have when I go overseas: When I hit the ground after a 10+ hour flight I will arrive as a new person!! I think what you've done is so incredibly brave, Maghan, so give yourself all the credit/toast yourself. You're doing something a lot of people wish they could do!

A wonderful share Leanne, thank you. It reminded me of the book, The Mountain Is You - exploring all the ways we get in our own way and self-sabotage. I also often get stuck at step 1... so I am going to do my very own 'dream' project scenario and see what is born!

Thanks, Annabelle! Yes, definitely the biggest competitor is against ourselves! Ooh, excited to hear how you go with visioning those dream/pinch me projects. No filter!!

Rationa- lies, love it! We are very good at being “in our heads” and believing everything we tell ourselves. When I catch the limiting ones, I love to challenge them and prove them wrong. It’s a work in progress. Love David’s poem. Thank you

Spot on Leanne! We often forget step 2, thank you for pointing it out. That’s thanks to step 2 that I moved to the other side of the world and went from being a cleaner to a senior leader. When everyone back home could see me struggle and was telling me to give up and come back home. I pushed through a lot of uncomfortable situations, got finally a job in my field and 2 years later got promoted to a senior manager role. In the end, it took me 2 years to get to my dream role, national quality manager, when it would have taken me at least 10-15 years to get there in France.

Great article :).

Sophie! I am in love with your story! Big congrats on pushing through, what must have felt like, an incredible amount of discomfort. Sometimes, when we're in that place, it's hard to believe that there is light.

Thank you Leanne! Yes, very hard to see if the light is ever going to come through. Lots of times where I reflected about what I really wanted, what I was ready, or not, to sacrifice. I was hanging by a string at the end when I finally landed the job that made me stay.
