Yes to the Dear Diary format. Great punchy insights into Leanne's brain!
Love this line: (just because it feels basic to you doesn’t mean it’s not valuable to them).
It's a great reminder to me of our individual value. We don't need to overcomplicate things, bringing yourself and your insights to the table is a unique and interesting offering.
Oh, thanks so much, Jade! Yes might sneak this format in every month to mix it up. I know, I seriously have to remind myself ALL THE TIME that the stuff in my head is actually valuable to someone else!
Some people also need to know their position in the lineup. Imagine if the catcher was trying to run out to centre field, 1st base and 3rd base the whole game, trying to catch every ball. Not only would they be a massive pain in the proverbial, nothing would get done. Sometimes "trust me" in a firm voice is what is required.
I really like this analogy, Sally. Yes, good point about different roles and sometimes things actually are on a "need to know" basis, you don't need to know the WHY behind everything. I think I just to sometimes temper what I say, I do find it hard to slow down when at times, you need to go at pace!!
You cracked me up with your flight to Newcastle! I just lost my Virgin Gold status at the end of May :(, but had 4 flights to do to maintain it. If I only had to do 1 return trip, I would have done like you 😆
Hahahah thanks for the validation, and I'm happy I made you laugh! It's one thing doing it... and then admitting it to the world. But I've had a few people reach out and share their Status Run experiences. Have a fab weekend, Sophie!
The status run yes! I remember a few years back paying for my own business class flight (when working corporate) that tipped me into Virgin Platinum with tons of great benefits. Couple of years later came Covid and Virgin preserved the benefits for several more years. I gently glided back through Gold and Silver and now I hardly fly locally… ✈️
Oh good, I'm not the only one who does missions like this, I knew I could count on you, Ken. Yes, business class tipped me over (40 points biz down there, 10 points economy home).
